Your Wedding Ceremony is one of the Most Significant Events of Your Lifetime!
It is important to remember the moment when you say ”I Do“ and fully experience the look of love and devotion in the eyes of your partner. The wedding ceremony is a beautiful celebration of the beginning of your new life together.

Creating a Ceremony as Unique and Meaningful as Your Relationship:
I take great pride in creating heartfelt, unique and personalized wedding ceremonies for ALL types of faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds.

I believe your love story is sacred… Every couple that stands before me deserves to have an extraordinary and memorable experience. I would consider it an honor to create you a superlative ceremony that celebrates your love and commitment; and reflects your love story in a way that captures the eternal love that binds your sacred union, unites your commitment, embraces family and friends, and illuminates your future together as one.

I Perform a Variety of Specialized Ceremonies Throughout the State of California:
Weddings, Baptisms, Celebrations of Life, Funerals, Memorial Services, Traditional Religious, Non-Denominational Weddings, Interfaith Ceremonies, Second Marriages, Spiritual Weddings, Non-Traditional, Themed Weddings, Renewal of Vows, and Ring Ceremonies.

Including the Following Specialty Services...

Unity Candle Ceremony:
The Unity Candle Ceremony consists of the lighting of one candle from two separate candles held by the bride and groom- This ceremony symbolizes the union of two lives into one. Creative variations can be added to the ceremony, such as the mothers of the bride and groom, or any designated member of the wedding party, lighting the candles after they walk down the isle. Children may also be included in the lighting of a family Unity candle. You may keep the candle as some couples re-light the candle each year on their anniversary.

The Blessing of the Rings:
The ring exchange generally follows the vows, and consists of two parts; first, the prelude or blessing emphasizing the significance of the rings and second, the exchange with vows. Your rings are the tangible symbol of the words you have spoken and will be with you every day as a reminder that you are loved.

Sand Ceremony:
The Sand ceremony is a ceremony that can be a beautiful and meaningful addition to the wedding ceremony. All that is needed to perform this simple and yet beautiful ceremony are a set of three containers, and two different colored sand. This ceremony is suited to including children as well.

Including Children:
Many couples are remarrying and want to include their children in the ceremony. There are numerous ways this may be done, depending on the age of the children.

Flower Ceremony:
This is a family and friends ceremony. Each person places a different flower in a designated area to create a garden of love.

Honoring the Mothers:
A brief reading is done then the bride and groom present their mother's with flowers.

Silent Blessing and Moment of Remembrance:
Short blessing or reading to honor passed loved ones. They may include specific names, general statements, or personalized message.

Ribbon Ceremony/Handfasting:
The ancient Celts tied the hands of the bride and groom. The officiant loosely binds the hands together. They remain that way for the rest of the ceremony.

Rose Ceremony:
A symbolic ceremony using roses, the symbol of love. The couples who have chosen this have described it as an extremely beautiful and moving ceremony.

Support from Families Service:
Parents become part of the introduction to the vows. The officiant asks who brings this couple to be wed. The families participate with their blessing.

Wine Ceremony:
The couple share a glass of wine while the officiant says a blessing and a reading.

Blessing to the Four Directions:
A long time ago, people believed the human soul shared characteristics with all things celestial. This prayer service designates the four points on a compass with elements representing human virtues.

Jumping The Broom:
There are many different versions of this ritual which involves the couple jumping over the broom. Essentially, the jumping of the broom is a symbol of sweeping away of the old and welcoming the new, or a symbol of a new beginning.

Reverend James Lower Testimonials
wedding officiant Reverend James is Simply The Best!
”Rev. James agreed to marry our daughter and her fiance with only 4 days notice. By the next day, she had a copy of the ceremony to review for any changes they might want. The ceremony was by far, the most intimate and touching any of our guests had ever witnessed. He personalized the ceremony with a letter my daughter had written to give him background information on how they met, and her fiance's time in Iraq. Everyone thought he was a personal friend of theirs. He does not just perform the ceremony, he leaves as a part of the family.“ - Terri Wagner
